Stena Line Limited
The company Stena Line operates various passenger and vehicle ferries. The ferry connections on the Irish Sea are referred to as Stena Line Limited (SLL) in the context of FIP.
The service between Harwich (United Kingdom) and Hoek van Holland (Netherlands) is operated as a separate FIP operator, Stena Line BV (StL).

Ship Categories and Reservations
Ferry services on the Irish Sea do not differentiate between categories. Depending on the route, different ships with varying amenities are used.
FIP is accepted on the following routes:
- Holyhead – Dublin Bay
- Fishguard – Rosslare
- Cairnryan – Belfast
- Liverpool – Belfast

Class Categories
There is only one class on the ships with regard to FIP.
Depending on the route and ship, there are various options for lounges and cabins to choose from. No FIP discount is granted on lounges and cabins. 1
Ticket and Reservation Purchase
FIP tickets must be purchased before the journey. Purchase on board the ships is not possible. FIP only grants a discount on the fare; all additional services are charged at full price. These include, among others, cabin reservation costs, vehicle transport, as well as port fees and environmental charges. With a FIP Coupon, the fare is free of charge.

Discounts
Children up to 4 years travel free of charge, children aged 4 to 16 are entitled to a 50% discount on the adult fare, from 16 years they pay the adult fare. 1
Stena Line and Irish Ferries offer tickets that allow combined train and ferry travel at a reduced price. No additional FIP discount is available on these tickets.
